How It Works
Radio Frequency (RF) skin tightening works to firm and tighten sagging, loose, or ageing skin. With a specially designed hand piece slowly rotated over the target area, the treatment can be performed on all parts of the body or face and works by using radiofrequency energy to raise the temperature of the epidermal and dermal layers of the skin. The energy produced induces thermal damage which triggers collagen remodelling to occur. The tissue retraction creates an instant result which is visibly smoother, firmer and more lifted skin. And the collagen production over time produces a more youthful-looking appearance.
Results
It is recommended that a minimum of 6-10 treatments be performed for optimal results.
For best results, treatments should be performed weekly. If this is not possible, treatments can also be performed every 2-3 weeks but it will take longer to see the same results.
Each clients’ individual factors such as age, lifestyle, health, medications & skin care used at home, will affect the results.
Maintenance treatments, as well as a home care routine, should be used to increase the longevity of the results.

What areas can be treated?
RF can effectively treat all areas of your body. This treatment will tighten and lifts loose or sagging skin around the jowls, neck, chin, tummy, buttocks, thighs, arms and legs.
What should I expect during the treatment?
During the procedure, deep skin layers are gradually heated, while the skin surface remains around 40° C (hot shower temperature). Your skin temperature will be constantly monitored. Depending on the size of the treated area, treatment may take between 30-45 minutes. The treatment is relaxing, pain free and has no side effects.
Is there any downtime following the treatment?
No there is no downtime, which is another benefit of this treatment. You will immediately notice your skin being tighter without any downtime and you can return to work or your regular activities straight away.
How many treatments do I need?
This will all depend on each individual client, and we will carefully assess this for you during your consultation. Some clients may only need 4 treatments, but others may require 6 to 10 to achieve best results.
When will I start seeing results?
When it comes to the tightening and lifting effect of RF, it can produce instant results. You will notice immediate improvements to your skin tone that will just get better with each session. The collagen re-modelling aspect of RF takes a little more time and you will reach full benefits of the collagen stimulation around 3 months after treatment.
What are the pre and post care instructions?
To ensure the body responds well to the treatment, you should stay well hydrated during the 24 hours prior to treatment. A mild exfoliation scrub prior to RF will prepare your skin to get maximum results. Any deep peels should be avoided a week prior to and a week following your treatment. RF heats the skin to cause retraction of the collagen, so it is important not to cool it immediately afterwards as the inflammation encourages results. You may wear a mineral based foundation to conceal any redness. An SPF 30+ should be applied immediately following your treatment and reapplied as necessary over the next 72hrs.
Who can have this treatment?
This treatment is effective on both light and dark skin, and best results are seen by clients in their mid-30s to mid-60s who display mild to moderate facial sagging or lax skin on the face or body.
Can I combine Radio Frequency Skin Tightening with Fat Cavitation?
Yes definitely. These two treatments work hand in hand to reduce fat and help tighten any loosened skin in larger areas. It is not a necessity to pair the two treatments but for those who have loose skin, this would pair nicely.
