Microdermabrasion

The natural ageing process, combined with environmental factors like stress, smoking and sun exposure, can have a dramatic effect on our skin. Microdermabrasion was developed as a dermatological procedure in Italy in the mid-1980s to give skin back its beautiful natural glow, improve skin complexion, and reduce fine wrinkles. It is a non-invasive skin treatment which improves complexion, circulation and blood flow, stimulating collagen and elastin production. The procedure uses a diamond tip in conjunction with suction – to exfoliate the dead outer skin layers, resulting in a smoother, fresher and younger-looking face. Microdermabrasion entails virtually no discomfort, downtime or recovery. The treatment is not painful, and because it has no down time, there is almost no risk of side effects. It is simple, safe and economical, and can be used as an alternative to or in conjunction with other treatments such as photo rejuvenation and chemical peels.

Results of Microdermabrasion Treatment

Microdermabrasion is a progressive procedure. After the first session your skin will feel softer and you may see a subtle improvement. To gain visible improvement we generally recommend a course of sessions because additional treatments cause an increase in circulation within the dermis and newer, healthier skin cells are produced. This treatment is deeply effective for renewing a fresh, young-looking glow to your skin.

It is a popular option to treat certain skin conditions such as acne and the signs of premature ageing. For those who suffer from acne, regular Microdermabrasion treatments will assist in keeping you in control of your skin.

  • Newer, healthier skin cells are produced
  • A safe and non-invasive facial treatment with no downtime
