Anti-wrinkle injections are a safe, effective and extremely popular wrinkle reduction treatment that can help take years off your face in just minutes.
Lines and wrinkles appear from using our facial muscles for expression, for examples to laugh, smile or frown. These are known as dynamic lines. Overtime with repeated movement the creases become permanent causing static lines.
Anti-wrinkle injections work by relaxing specific facial muscles to stop the constant creasing and folding of the skin which causes fine lines and wrinkles. Therefore, the treatment primarily targets dynamic lines from forming. They contain muscle relaxants made from a natural, purified protein which is injected into the face using very fine needles. As the facial muscles are restricted the static lines also start to reduce and soften.

Forehead Lines

Brow Lift
Uneven brows can lead to an asymmetrical face. Muscle relaxants have the ability to lift the brow and assist in creating symmetry.
Frown Lines
Frown lines, as the name suggests, form when the muscles contract during the frowning motion. Anti-wrinkle injections stop the frowning motion by disabling the muscle movement which stops creating the wrinkles in that area.
Crow’s Feet
When we laugh, it shows not just in our mouths but also in our eyes. It makes sense then that just as we get laugh lines around our mouths, we also form lines at the outside corners of our eyes – commonly known as crow’s feet. Crow’s feet form as we start to lose elasticity in the skin around the eyes due to the reduction in the production of collagen and elastin. Crow’s feet wrinkle treatment injections stop the muscle movement around your eyes which prevents wrinkles from forming.
Bunny Lines
Lines that occur on the upper nose from repetitive scrunching of the nose muscle when we laugh or smile. These lines appear as horizontal lines forming across the sides of the nose.
Gummy Smile
The gummy smile is caused by movement of the mouth or smiling, which can show an excessive amount of teeth or upper gum.
Results
We use 2 main products which are both Botulinum toxin Typa-A but they are different size molecules therefore work slightly different. One is a Eureapen Product produced by Galderma and once is an American Product produced by Allergan.
Once the treatment is completed, you can start seeing effects after 2-3 days. The peak effect of Dysport and Botox is 14 days and therefore individuals should wait until this point to see the full results, we also book reviews at this point. • Both products last up to 3-4 months based on standard doses, but may last less if people are requesting smaller doses due to budget reasons.
Research shows that if you get retreated when you start getting some muscle movement back, you get more longevity out of the treatment as although the product only lasts 3-4 months, the muscles get used to not working therefore take longer to get the movement returning.

Pre-Treatment Care
Before your session, you will need a consultation to discuss your medical history and background so we can design a plan that meets your needs.
We do not treat pregnant or breastfeeding clients. There are some medications that can interfere with the treatment so that will also be discussed in your initial consultation.
Other cosmetic treatments such as laser and peels should be avoided 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
Post-Treatment Care
- Avoid Putting any pressure on the treated area for 24-48 hours post treatment
- Do not massage the area of injection for at least 4 hours
- Remain upright for at least 4 hours after the injection
- Schedule a 2 week follow up appointment to review results.
Possible side effects
Side-effects are rare and also mild. Common ones include:
- Patients may experience a headache after the treatment
- Temporary Bruising, redness or itchiness

How many treatments will I need?

As the needles used are extremely fine and the treatment lasts just a few minutes, any discomfort experienced is minimal, and can be eased with a cold pack if necessary.
Are there any side effects?
These injections are a safe anti-wrinkle treatment, so side effects are rare. If they do occur, they are slight and temporary. As with any injections, some minor bruising at the injection site may occur – but this is unlikely to be noticeable and can be easily disguised with makeup. Possible side effects also include headaches and a slight feeling of nausea.
